Summer Job as Team Leader

Your Responsibilities

As a team leader for Summer Power at the coastal and sports department, you will lead youth in their work while also being part of the team and performing tasks such as keeping our beaches clean, supervising rescue equipment, carrying out other nature conservation efforts, simple carpentry and maintenance work, and lawn care such as mowing.

As a team leader for Halmstad's nature guardians, you will lead youth in helping tourists and residents take care of our fantastic nature sustainably. Your workdays will mostly be spent outdoors, leading nature guardians and being part of the team as you walk our trails to ensure they are kept clean and beautiful, assisting our hikers, cyclists, and tourists with any questions they may have. You will also carry out specific nature conservation efforts such as making and installing birdhouses and repairing walkways.

Your Qualifications

To succeed in the role of team leader, we see that you have completed high school education, preferably from a nature management program or equivalent, an interest in the environment and nature, experience working with similar tasks, and experience leading others. Other requirements include a B driver's license for manual transmission and good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

To succeed in this role, you need to be a person who actively contributes to good working relationships, shares information, and works selflessly. This means building trust and collaborating effectively both internally and externally while providing guidance and support to youth. We are looking for someone who is meticulous, responsible, and ensures that work is completed on time through a structured approach. Since the job often involves contact with the public visiting our outdoor environments, it is important that you have a sense of service and value good interactions.
